Help Meet Unmet Needs
There are many needs that go unmet in our foster care system.
Through meeting these unmet needs, we have been able to help improve normalcy for kids in care, relieve burdens associated with achieving permanency and support opportunities for youth who have aged out of care.
Through the generosity of our community, we have had opportunities to meet need such as:
Helping a young woman who aged out of foster care obtain all the necessary infant items for the very early delivery of her infant daughter.
Helping a young boy in a group home, awaiting adoption, who needed a weighted blanket for calming during this difficult time in his life.
Helping a young man who aged out of foster care obtain a specialized laptop for his major at the college where he is working towards his bachelors degree.
Helping a young woman who was transitioning from a residential treatment center to the home of a relative obtain a bed, mattress and bedding for her new room.
Helping a young mom working towards reunification with her two young children to obtain household essentials necessary to create a supportive and comforting home.
